Domestic Violence Center of Chester County

Welcome

Our Mission

The Mission of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Inc. is to provide intervention, programs, outreach and advocacy to prevent, reduce and remedy domestic violence in Chester County.

Our History

The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County has been serving our community since 1976. Since then, we have helped over 23,000 survivors of domestic violence.

The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County is committed to empowering survivors of domestic abuse through information, and supporting them as they reclaim their lives. The Center provides services at our main, confidentially located site and at satellite sites in Coatesville, Kennett Square, Oxford, and coming soon Phoenixville. Services are available in English and Spanish, and are provided free of charge.

As you browse this web site, you will notice that we use the term "survivor" rather than "victim" to refer to individuals who have been subjected to domestic violence. This is a conscious decision, taken to focus on strength and courage rather than victimization.
