Features
- Scattered-site, subsidized housing for 5 survivors of domestic
violence and their dependent children.
- Case management and access to all Domestic Violence Center services.
Phase III housing lasts 18 months.
Eligibility
You must be homeless due to domestic violence.
You must have at least 2 dependent children living
with you.
You must be able to demonstrate the desire to achieve
self-sufficiency.
Factors considered include:
- Enrollment in an educational or job training program
- Evidence of job search
- Work experience.
Application Process
A written application is required. Applications are
available from the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County.
4 interviews with the Phase III Case Manager are required.
The Case Manager will explain program policies, expectations and
criteria for selection of participants.
The Case Manager will submit a written recommendation
to the Housing Review Panel.
The Housing Review Panel will evaluate the candidate's
application.
The candidate will be notified in writing of the Housing
Review Panel's decision.
Phase III clients are required to contribute 30% of
their income to the program.
Housing Program Policies
Housing program policies of the Domestic Violence Center
of Chester County are designed to assure the safety and comfort of
all. Clients are expected to follow these policies and to work toward
achieving the goals set in their individual goal plans.
